Job description
An Ofsted Outstanding High School in Newcastle requires a permanent, full-time Teacher of Science (specialising in Chemistry), starting January 2026. Join a Science department celebrated for its exceptional outcomes and dedication to high-level teaching. About the School This school is rated Outstanding by Ofsted and is renowned for its academic excellence, particularly in the Sciences. The Chemistry department boasts state-of-the-art labs and a strong track record of student progression. The school emphasizes staff wellbeing and academic resilience. Responsibilities You will deliver high-level instruction in Chemistry across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and 5 (A-Level). Your core focus is driving high attainment and fostering critical thinking skills in complex theory and practical experimental technique. You must contribute to the Triple Science curriculum and lead extension work, such as Science Olympiads.
