Physics Teacher – Richmond, South West London ⚛️ Ignite Scientific Curiosity at a Successful West London Academy We are seeking an enthusiastic, academically driven, and committed Physics Teacher to join the successful Science faculty at a highly regarded secondary academy in the affluent Richmond area of South West London. This is a full-time, permanent position starting immediately. Physics Teacher required Full-time, Permanent position starting as soon as possible. Successful, high-performing academy in Richmond, Outer London Teach Physics across Key Stages 3 & 4 (KS3/KS4), with a mandatory requirement for Key Stage 5 (KS5) teaching. Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 available The Opportunity The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective Physics specialist dedicated to delivering rigorous, challenging, and engaging lessons. You will be joining a supportive environment where high academic expectations and a strong practical science curriculum are paramount. This role focuses on outstanding classroom practice, particularly at the A-Level, and contributing to the department's consistent record of placing students in STEM courses at top universities. To attract an exceptional candidate, this role includes a generous Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum . This financial incentive is a purely financial reward designed to support excellent teachers and their commitment to our school community. We Are Looking For: A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) . A relevant degree in Physics or a closely related discipline (e.g., Engineering, Astrophysics). A proven track record as an excellent Physics Teacher with mandatory experience teaching the subject to Key Stage 5 (A-Level) . A genuine passion for the subject and the ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities. The drive to contribute positively to the academic life of the school. Salary and Benefits Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Teachers. The base salary will be paid according to experience within the statutory Outer London Pay Scale (The Outer London Main Pay Range minimum is approximately £37,870 as of September 2025). A fixed Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum. Excellent, structured professional development and career progression pathways.
