Job description
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a thriving and well-regarded secondary school in Bristol. This is a key role within the school, offering the opportunity to lead and further develop SEND provision in a positive, forward-looking environment where inclusion and pupil wellbeing are clear priorities. The school has a strong reputation for supportive leadership, positive behaviour, and collaborative working, making it an excellent setting for an SENCO looking to make a meaningful impact. The Role Leading SEND provision across KS3 and KS4 Overseeing EHCP processes, reviews, and statutory requirements Coordinating interventions and support strategies for pupils with additional needs Working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, families, and external agencies Advising and supporting staff on inclusive classroom practice Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to whole-school improvement The Ideal Candidate Will Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) NASENCO qualification (or willingness to complete within the required timeframe) Experience supporting students with SEND in a secondary school setting Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and EHCP processes The ability to lead, influence, and support colleagues effectively A calm, organised, and pupil-centred approach School Information This secondary school in Bristol is known for its strong academic progress, positive staff culture, and inclusive ethos.
