Job description
Location: Hertfordshire School Status: Outstanding Ofsted Secondary School Start Date: ASAP Start – Permanent, Full-Time Curriculum Scope: Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) only The Opportunity We are recruiting a Religious Education Teacher for an Outstanding school in Hertfordshire. The department is immersive and high-achieving, offering a brilliant environment for an educator to foster social awareness, ethics, and philosophical inquiry among pupils. Core Responsibilities Instruct RE across GCSE and KS3, facilitating debates on theology, ethics, and global social movements. Develop students' ability to construct sophisticated, evidence-based written arguments. Contribute to the school's intercultural communication initiative, promoting social awareness and respect. Requirements & Compensation Essential: Must hold QTS and a relevant degree (Theology, Philosophy, or Religious Studies). Salary: Paid on the Fringe or National Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS). Benefits: A supportive, research-led faculty environment and dedicated office space.
