Job description
SEN Teacher – Specialist Secondary School – Brent – April Start Position: SEN Teacher Location: Brent Start Date: April 2025 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience) A fantastic specialist secondary school in Brent is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team from April 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and inclusive environment where students with special educational needs are empowered to achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN. Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that encourages student confidence and independence. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and support staff. Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure continued development. Work closely with colleagues, external professionals, and families to provide holistic support for students. Maintain accurate records and contribute to the ongoing development of SEN provision within the school. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience working with students with SEN, ideally in a secondary or specialist setting. Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies and the ability to differentiate lessons effectively. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Enhanced DBS check required. Why Join This School?
