Job description
We’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic and dynamic Year 6 Teacher to join a fantastic, good-rated, 2-form entry primary school in Redbridge, starting in September 2025 ! This is a full-time, permanent role where you’ll have the opportunity to inspire and challenge Year 6 students as they prepare for the next exciting step in their educational journey. What You'll Be Doing Inspiring Year 6 students : Plan, prepare, and deliver exciting and engaging lessons that are packed with challenges to help Year 6 students soar to new heights. Guiding their transition : Help students make the leap from Primary to Secondary school with confidence by developing their key skills in literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking. Making learning fun : Foster a positive and energetic classroom atmosphere where learning is always exciting, interactive, and inspiring. Tracking progress : Regularly assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback, helping each child to unlock their full potential and reach new goals. Collaborating with the team : Work alongside a fantastic group of teachers to share ideas, best practices, and deliver a top-notch curriculum. Connecting with parents : Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates and addressing any questions or concerns. Getting involved : Take an active role in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide activities. Who We’re Looking For A passionate Year 6 Teacher with a track record of success in the classroom. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 2 , especially Year 6, and a deep understanding of the National Curriculum . Strong communication and interpersonal skills that will help you build connections with students, staff, and parents. Someone who thrives in a team environment and loves contributing to a positive school culture.
