Job description
School Status & Location Sector: Outstanding Ofsted-rated Secondary Academy. Borough: Brent (Inner London). Start Date: Permanent, full-time role commencing April 2026. The Opportunity & School Profile This Outstanding academy requires a proactive Geography ECT to join an innovative Humanities faculty for an April start. The school needs an individual ready to inspire students with global issues and practical geographical skills. This environment offers a structured approach and excellent resources for an ECT to develop their teaching practice. Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope Curriculum Cartographer: Instructing Geography across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) only. Global Explorer: Driving high attainment by cultivating strong map skills, data analysis, and understanding of contemporary global issues. Fieldwork Facilitator: Assisting in the organization and running of local fieldwork and geographical enrichment. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Hold or be soon to obtain QTS. Relevant Degree in Geography. Salary: Excellent salary paid on the national Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS), reflecting Inner London weighting. Support: Robust ECT induction program and dedicated time for curriculum planning.
