The Art Teacher department is central to our curriculum, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a love of visual arts. We are looking for an experienced Art Teacher to join our team and help shape the artistic journey of our students. The Role As an experienced Art Teacher , you will be responsible for: • Delivering dynamic and engaging Art Teacher lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students are inspired and challenged. • Designing and implementing a curriculum that encourages creativity and artistic expression while focusing on skills development in drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media. • Guiding students through the creative process and offering constructive feedback to help them refine their artistic abilities. • Supporting the development of a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all students feel confident to express themselves through art. • Collaborating with the Art Teacher department to develop effective teaching strategies and resources. • Contributing to extracurricular activities such as school art exhibitions, clubs, and workshops, allowing students to showcase their talents beyond the classroom. What We Are Looking For We are looking for an experienced Art Teacher who possesses: ✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Art or a related field. ✔️ Proven experience as an Art Teacher with a strong track record of success in delivering engaging lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4. ✔️ Strong knowledge of various art forms, including traditional techniques and contemporary media. ✔️ A passion for inspiring students to appreciate and pursue art. ✔️ Creativity in lesson planning and an ability to make art both challenging and enjoyable. ✔️ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students. ✔️ A commitment to supporting extracurricular art activities and fostering a vibrant art community within the school.
