Job description
Join us as an Occupational Therapist : Empower Futures! Do you want to work for a company where wellbeing is more than a word, it’s a commitment? Somewhere where you can be an architect of someone’s future? Well at Progress Arc, that’s just what we offer. Our top-notch benefits go beyond the basics. Enjoy access to hundreds of discounts on everything from your daily coffee to weekly shop, discounted gym memberships and free access to dedicated counselling support. We’ve also recently introduced wellbeing days for when you need a day to reset. And because we know your passion is with pupils and not paperwork, we do everything we can to reduce the amount of surplus admin too. Your work-life balance matters. That’s why we offer generous holidays, enhanced maternity and paternity leave for new parents and carers, and flexibility wherever possible. And why do we do this? Because when you thrive, so do our students. We want to invest in your personal and professional growth as much as we do the young people who attend our schools. But that’s not all, we also offer… Professional Development: Support for professional qualifications, in-house training, including paid qualifications. Last year we invested approx. £3.5k per colleague! Financial Security: Death in Service Insurance providing four times your salary. Family-Friendly Policies: Enhanced Maternity/Paternity Leave. Health and Wellbeing Cashback: Access to Medicash for you and your dependants, covering the costs of eye tests, optical, dental, prescriptions, and holistic treatments up to £900 annually. Recognition Awards: Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Recognition Awards. Referral Bonus: £500 for referring top talent. Exclusive Discounts: MiRewards benefits platform, offering loads of discounts and rewards Weekly drop ins with Senior Leaders: Connect, clarify and communicate with weekly drop-ins with our Managing Director and organisation SLT Group Connection: Annual Group conference and a comprehensive benefits review. Who are we looking for from you? Emotional Support: Have worked within educational settings and demonstrated a child-centred and holistic approach. You will be committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Qualifications: BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy and HCPC Registration Experience: Have worked in a school environment. Particularly, experience in secondary school would be an added advantage. Knowledge: Provide coaching, modelling and resources to support staff in embedding strategies into everyday teaching. Problem-Solving: Aptitude for solving problems and making effective decisions. Communication: Professional communication with students and staff. Promotion of Values: Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, safeguarding, wellbeing, and British values. Time Management: Effective time management for planning, delivery, and assessment. More about the school you will work in You’ll be based at Progress Arc - Billinge School which has recently been taken over by The Progress Group. Formally known as Nugent House School, this is an exciting time to join us as we embark on a new chapter in the school’s journey. Our school has a maximum student capacity of 110 and situated across 4 buildings set within beautiful grounds and vast outdoor spaces. It includes spaces for vocational and academic learning as well as therapeutic support. We have Occupational Therapists on site, as well as colleagues who are trained to provide alternative therapies. Our strong teaching and support team are passionate about empowering our young people to achieve their unique potential, and that’s just what you will help us to do. We aren’t looking for professionals to just teach, but who can help to architect, motivative, empower and inspire, because we want every one of our young people to have the opportunities that they deserve.
