Job description
Join our Team as Head of Credit and Collections! Location: Whiteley, Fareham Salary: Competitive Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30- 17:00 About the role: As Head of Credit and Collections, you’ll lead one of Onecom’s most critical functions—driving cashflow performance, reducing financial risk, and steering a major digital transformation that will redefine how we operate. This is a role for a strategic, people‑focused leader who can turn executive vision into practical execution, champion new technologies such as Collection AI, and build a high‑performing, customer‑centric culture. You’ll shape the future of our credit, collections and fraud‑prevention capabilities while empowering a skilled team to deliver exceptional results. What makes you a great fit: Extensive senior leadership experience managing large Credit & Collections functions in a B2B environment Deep expertise in data‑driven financial collections strategy Proven success leading organisational transformation and implementing new processes and technologies Strong experience with AI‑driven digital strategies, including Collection AI and large‑scale system integrations Demonstrable background in customer fraud management within credit and collections Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels, including C‑suite Strong commercial acumen paired with advanced analytical capability Passion for continuous improvement and operational efficiency Ability to simplify complexity and make clear, data‑driven decisions A collaborative, resilient leader who inspires teams and drives accountability Key responsibilities: Define, develop and execute the overall Credit and Collections strategy Lead transformation initiatives, including new operating models and Collection AI implementation Champion continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality and performance Use data and metrics to track, evaluate and communicate service and financial impact, keeping ELT informed Plan and deliver strategic initiatives aligned with business goals Support integration of Collection Management Systems with ERP, CRM and fraud‑detection platforms Own the strategy and implementation of customer fraud‑prevention controls Maintain deep understanding of the end‑to‑end customer journey and commercial touchpoints Oversee effective debt collection operations, including new account review and credit limit setting Lead, mentor and motivate the Credit & Collections team to drive performance and innovation Act as a key link between executives, operational teams and end‑users to ensure alignment and clarity Perks for our People: Holidays : 25 days + bank holidays and buy/sell options Other Leave : Birthday day off, 12 paid hours for flexible use, Volunteer day EV Scheme : Lease a brand-new electric car Lifestyle : 9% combined pension contribution and 4x salary life assurance Rewards : Quarterly and annual employee awards, discounts on tech Socials : All-expenses-paid company events Development : In-House Training Academy Wellbeing : 24/7 access to mental health support, Calm App, discounted gym membership, free breakfast & fresh fruit, eye-care vouchers, financial wellbeing support Who we are: Onecom is an award-winning provider of Communication Technology, trusted by UK organisations to deliver Simply Brilliant Customer Experiences.
