Job description
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: MPS (ECT welcome) The Opportunity A supportive secondary school in Huddersfield is seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join its well-organised Mathematics department. This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Career Teacher to begin their career in a structured and nurturing environment. You will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 , helping students build confidence, problem-solving skills, and resilience in numeracy. About the School Community-focused secondary school with improving outcomes Strong departmental leadership and mentoring culture Clear behaviour policies and calm learning environment Well-resourced Maths department with shared schemes of work Emphasis on staff wellbeing and manageable workload Maths Teacher – Key Responsibilities Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4 Deliver clear and engaging lessons aligned to the curriculum Use assessment to inform planning and intervention Contribute to collaborative planning and moderation Support students in achieving strong GCSE outcomes The Ideal Maths Teacher Degree in Mathematics or related subject QTS (or due to obtain) Secure subject knowledge and willingness to learn Strong communication and organisation skills Positive, reflective, and student-centred approach Why Apply?
