The Role Position: Year 1 Teacher Location: Slough Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time Considered TLR: Available for Subject or Phase Leadership (for the right candidate) As our Year 1 Teacher, you will: Lead a Year 1 class, delivering an engaging and creative curriculum. Support children’s progress in phonics, literacy, and numeracy. Assess learning and plan for next steps to secure progress. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Work closely with parents, colleagues, and support staff. (If applicable) Take on subject or phase leadership responsibilities. What We’re Looking For We welcome applicants who: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1. Understand phonics teaching and early childhood development. Are reflective, organised, and excellent communicators. Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to inclusion.
