SEN Teacher (ASD Specialism) – SEN School – Enfield – ASAP Start Role: SEN Teacher (ASD Specialism) Nature: Full-Time, Permanent Start: ASAP Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience) A specialist SEN school in Enfield is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher with an ASD specialism to join their team as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism, providing them with tailored support in a structured and nurturing environment. Role Highlights: Full-time, permanent position at a specialist SEN school in Enfield Teach and support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), using structured and engaging approaches Plan and deliver individualised lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with autism Utilise evidence-based strategies such as TEACCH, PECS, and sensory integration to support learning and communication Work closely with support staff, therapists, and external professionals to create and implement EHCPs and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Foster a calm, inclusive, and structured learning environment that promotes independence and confidence Track student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adapt teaching strategies accordingly Build strong relationships with parents and carers to ensure consistent support for students Experience & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching students with ASD, ideally in an SEN setting Strong knowledge of autism-specific teaching methods and SEN best practices Excellent communication, collaboration, and behaviour management skills A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching Enhanced DBS check required Why Join Us?
