Job description
Food Technology Teacher Location: Lambeth Contract: Full-Time, Permanent A vibrant secondary school in Lambeth is seeking a passionate and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join their Design and Technology department. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and foster a love of cooking, nutrition, and food science. The successful applicant will be an exceptional Food Technology Teacher . Are You... ... a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent)? ... experienced in teaching Food Technology/Food Preparation and Nutrition at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE)? ... knowledgeable about food hygiene, safety, and nutrition? ... able to create engaging and practical lessons? ... an excellent classroom manager? ... a team player? ... committed to your own professional development? The Role Includes: Planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality Food Technology lessons. Differentiating instruction to suit all learning styles. Assessing student progress and providing feedback. Maintaining accurate student records. Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive kitchen environment. Collaborating with colleagues within the D&T department. Contributing to curriculum development. Ensuring compliance with all food hygiene and safety regulations. Communicating with parents/guardians. Upholding the school's safeguarding policies. The Food Technology Teacher is expected to complete the above.
