About the Science Department • Modern laboratories equipped for all three sciences • Outstanding technician support for setting up and maintaining practical work • Clear and well-sequenced curriculum pathways from KS3–KS5 • A collaborative and passionate teaching team with specialisms across Biology, Chemistry and Physics • Strong uptake at GCSE and a growing KS5 offering • Access to enrichment programmes, science fairs and partnerships with STEM organisations About the Role • Teaching general Science at KS3–KS4 with possible KS5 depending on experience • Delivering high-quality lessons that promote scientific enquiry, practical investigation and critical thinking • Supporting students through exam preparation, assessments and intervention sessions • Contributing to extra-curricular STEM clubs, science weeks or competitions • Working with colleagues to develop innovative resources and curriculum enhancements • Creating a stimulating, safe and engaging laboratory environment Experience and Qualifications • Degree in a Science-related field • PGCE with QTS • Strong curriculum knowledge and understanding of practical science • Excellent communication and organisational skills • Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities Salary MPS/UPS.
