Job description
Are you a highly qualified Economics Teacher ready to challenge and inspire academically gifted students in a Magnificent Independent school in Kensington? We are seeking a dedicated educator to join our Economics department, starting September 2025. This is a chance to teach in a school with excellent resources and a rich academic tradition. Our Economics department is a team of experts dedicated to delivering a challenging and enriching curriculum. About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Economics lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, following relevant examination specifications. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of academically gifted students. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including economic data analysis, debates, and research projects, to enhance student learning. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Economics examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria. Contribute to the development of the Economics curriculum and resources. Foster a passion for economics in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical and problem-solving skills. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Contribute to extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to economics and current affairs. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Economics, particularly at A-Level. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 4 and 5. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Economics examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to inspire and motivate academically gifted students. A passion for economics and a commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Benefits: Full-time, permanent position, starting September 2025.
