Job description
RE Teacher – Nurturing and inclusive comprehensive school – Hertfordshire Our client is looking for a Religious Education Teacher to join a caring and inclusive secondary school in Hertfordshire. This is a full-time, permanent position from January 2026. • RE Teacher required full-time from January 2026 • Nurturing and diverse comprehensive school in Hertfordshire • Join a friendly and supportive RE department This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who can deliver RE with intellectual rigour and sensitivity, exploring philosophy, ethics, world religions and moral issues. You will teach across KS3 and KS4, with possibility of RE GCSE (or equivalent) classes. The school encourages critical thinking, debate, and respect for diversity. Experience and Qualifications • Qualified RE Teacher with QTS or equivalent • Good knowledge of world religions, ethics, philosophy • Experience teaching KS3–KS4; experience or interest in GCSE delivery advantageous • Legal right to work in the UK School Information Based in Hertfordshire, this supportive and well-equipment school places strong emphasis on character education, student wellbeing, and ethical understanding. The RE department has modern classrooms, access to guest speakers from different faith communities, resources for multimedia presentations, and opportunities for students to engage in interfaith projects.
