Job description
Contract & Start: Permanent, Full-Time | January 2026 About the Role This highly prestigious Independent Co-educational School in Brent is seeking an inspiring MFL (French/Spanish) Early Career Teacher (ECT) for a permanent, full-time role commencing January 2026. This position offers the chance to complete the induction period within a dynamic Languages faculty that prizes scholarly rigour and fluency. The successful candidate will receive dedicated mentorship to develop outstanding practice in a selective and ambitious school setting. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, high-achieving MFL lessons (French and/or Spanish) across all key stages, focusing on high-level communication skills, cultural knowledge, and examination success. Engage fully with the bespoke ECT support package, including one-on-one mentorship, regular peer observations, and personalised CPD sessions. Utilise innovative teaching strategies and digital resources to enhance language acquisition and fluency. Contribute to the school's international dimension by organising exchanges, trips, or co-curricular language clubs. Track pupil progress meticulously, ensuring tailored support to achieve excellent linguistic outcomes. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or pending QTS in MFL (French and/or Spanish). A high degree of fluency in the target language(s) and a genuine passion for promoting cultural understanding. Exceptional classroom presence and the ability to motivate highly academic, mixed-gender student groups. Eagerness to contribute positively and collaboratively to a high-performing faculty. Strong commitment to working within the established rigour and high expectations of an independent school.
