🏥 Health & Social Care Teacher – Merton, Inner London 🧑⚕️ Deliver High-Quality Vocational Education in South West London, Start January 2026 We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled, and committed Health and Social Care Teacher to join the successful Vocational/Social Sciences faculty at a high-achieving secondary school/academy in the London Borough of Merton . This is a Full-Time, Permanent Position starting in January 2026 (or sooner). Health & Social Care Teacher required (Main/Upper Pay Scale) Full-time, Permanent position starting January 2026 High-achieving secondary academy in Merton, Inner London Teach Health & Social Care across Key Stages 4 and 5 (BTEC/Cambridge National/Technical) The Opportunity The successful applicant will be an inspirational and highly effective Health & Social Care specialist dedicated to delivering engaging and rigorous vocational lessons. This is an excellent opportunity to teach within a supportive department and play a vital role in preparing students for careers in the health and social care sectors. While this is a classroom teacher role, the school is committed to continuous staff development, offering excellent mentoring and CPD for all staff. This position provides a fantastic platform for a teacher looking to establish themselves in a high-performing Inner London school and potentially take on future leadership responsibilities . We Are Looking For: A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) . A proven track record as an excellent Health & Social Care Teacher , with essential experience teaching vocational courses to Key Stage 5 (A-Level equivalent BTEC/Technical Level) . Strong subject knowledge across key areas like human lifespan development, equality and diversity, and anatomy. A genuine passion for the subject and the ability to inspire high levels of engagement and vocational skills. A collaborative mindset, committed to contributing positively to departmental planning and student success. Salary and Benefits Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Inner London Teachers (currently £40,317 - £62,496 for 2025/2026).
