Job description
A large and highly regarded secondary school in Solihull is seeking an experienced and confident Senior School Administrator to join its established office team from January 2026. This is a key operational role within the school, supporting senior leaders, teaching staff and families on a daily basis. The school is known locally for its calm atmosphere, strong organisation and professional culture. The administrative team is central to this success, providing reliable systems, clear communication and a welcoming first point of contact for pupils, parents and visitors. In this role, you will take responsibility for a broad range of administrative functions, working closely with the School Business Manager and senior leadership to ensure the smooth running of the school day. Key responsibilities include: Managing complex diaries, correspondence and school communications Supporting attendance, safeguarding and pastoral administration Coordinating meetings, events and internal processes Acting as a point of contact for staff, families and external agencies The school offers: A structured induction and clear procedures A professional, supportive office team Leadership that values and respects support staff Opportunities to develop within school administration This role would suit an administrator who is organised, calm under pressure and enjoys being a trusted part of a school’s leadership infrastructure.
