Job description
An Ofsted Outstanding High School in Birmingham requires a permanent, full-time Teacher of Physical Education (PE), starting January 2026. Join a department dedicated to academic and sporting excellence. About the School This school is consistently rated Outstanding by Ofsted and is known for blending strong academic results with an excellent competitive sports programme. The PE department is responsible for delivering both core curriculum and successful academic PE. The school values holistic excellence and staff collaboration. Responsibilities You will deliver high-quality instruction in both practical and theoretical PE across Key Stages 3, 4 (GCSE), and 5 (A-Level/BTEC). Your core focus is driving high attainment in academic PE and coaching at least two major school sports (e.g., Football, Netball, Rugby). You must lead teams and contribute to the extensive extra-curricular sports programme. Requirements You must hold QTS and have successfully completed your induction programme. You must have extensive experience teaching Academic PE to KS5. You must have the right to work in the UK. Benefits Excellent salary paid on the national Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS).
