Job description
A well-regarded 11–18 secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a highly organised and analytical School Data Officer to support its senior leadership team in driving academic performance and strategic planning. The school has established strong systems for assessment and tracking and is now looking to strengthen its internal data capacity to support ongoing improvement. The school serves a diverse community and is recognised locally for its structured curriculum, improving outcomes and consistent behaviour systems. Accurate data management plays a central role in monitoring progress and informing decision-making. The Role You will take responsibility for maintaining and developing the school’s assessment and reporting systems. This includes managing the school’s MIS, overseeing data collection cycles, producing performance reports for senior leaders and supporting the analysis of student progress across year groups. You will work closely with Heads of Department and pastoral leads to ensure data is accurate, accessible and actionable. The role involves preparing examination entries, supporting results analysis and maintaining compliance with external reporting requirements. You will also contribute to the development of dashboards and tracking tools that support targeted interventions and strategic planning.
