Job description
An excellent secondary school in Salisbury is seeking a reliable and organised Science Technician to join their science department. This is a vital support role within a high-performing school, helping to ensure that practical science lessons run safely, smoothly, and effectively. The Role You will work closely with teaching staff to prepare resources for practical lessons and maintain the smooth day-to-day operation of the science laboratories. The role is hands-on and varied, requiring strong organisation, attention to detail, and a good understanding of laboratory safety. Key responsibilities include: Preparing equipment, materials, and solutions for practical science lessons Supporting practical work across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics Ensuring laboratories are clean, organised, and safely maintained Managing stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory records Carrying out routine equipment checks and basic maintenance Supporting health and safety procedures, risk assessments, and COSHH compliance Assisting with the setup and clearing of experiments and demonstrations The School Environment This Salisbury school is known for its strong academic outcomes, positive learning culture, and supportive leadership.
