Job description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Biology Teacher to join one of Peterborough’s leading secondary schools as soon as possible. This is a full-time, permanent position within a high-achieving, well-resourced Science Faculty. • Biology Teacher required – full-time, permanent • Outstanding 11–18 school in Peterborough • Teach Biology across KS3–KS5 with specialist teaching at GCSE and A Level • ASAP start • Suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs About the Role The school is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Biology Teacher to deliver consistently high-quality lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5. You will help maintain excellent academic outcomes, teaching motivated pupils who demonstrate strong behaviour and commitment to learning. The successful candidate will deliver Biology at GCSE and A Level. Lessons are designed to develop scientific reasoning, practical competence, and analytical thinking through an enquiry-led curriculum. Experience and Qualifications • Ability to teach Biology across KS3–KS5 • Degree in a Biology-related discipline • PGCE/QTS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification • Strong understanding of laboratory practice and health & safety • Excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for scientific enquiry • Legal right to work in the UK School Information This Outstanding secondary school in Peterborough is recognised for strong academic performance, positive pupil behaviour, and a collaborative staff culture.
