Job description
An outstanding independent school in Medway, Kent, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher starting in January 2026. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality education to Key Stage 1 students, supporting their academic, social, and personal development. You will join a supportive and dynamic team of educators committed to creating a nurturing, stimulating, and engaging learning environment. KS1 Teacher Responsibilities · Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for KS1 students. · Implement a variety of teaching strategies to motivate and inspire young learners. · Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets. · Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the KS1 curriculum and share best practices. · Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment. · Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress. · Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and other school activities as required. KS1 Teacher Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. · Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. · Proven experience teaching KS1 students in a primary school setting. · Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods. · Strong communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners. · Commitment to ongoing professional development and best teaching practices. · Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
