Job description
IT Technician required from January 2026 to work on a full-time, permanent basis High-Performing Academy in Salisbury Excellent opportunity for a proactive IT professional to support teaching, learning, and digital innovation across a successful school network We are seeking a motivated and adaptable IT Technician to join a successful and high-performing secondary academy in Salisbury . This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to play a crucial role in maintaining the school’s IT infrastructure and supporting staff and students in a technology-driven learning environment. Experience and Qualifications • Experience providing first- and second-line IT support (school experience advantageous) • Strong technical knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, Active Directory, and networking • Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and communicate effectively with staff at all levels • Excellent organisational and customer service skills • Relevant IT qualifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, or equivalent) preferred School Information This Outstanding Salisbury academy has a forward-thinking approach to digital education and technology integration. The school has invested heavily in its IT infrastructure, with cloud-based learning, interactive whiteboards, and secure network systems across all departments. The IT Technician will work alongside a small but experienced IT team, supporting classroom technology, hardware maintenance, and AV setups for events. The role involves varied daily tasks, including user support, software installation, and assisting with school-wide digital initiatives.
