The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and pupils. You will work with small groups, individual pupils, and occasionally whole classes to ensure that all children can access learning and achieve their potential. Key responsibilities include: Supporting classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons Working with individual pupils or small groups to provide additional support Helping pupils with special educational needs or learning difficulties Preparing resources and assisting with classroom activities Supporting assessment by monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment Supervising pupils during activities, break times, or trips as required Supporting the wider school community by participating in staff meetings and professional development This role requires a patient, adaptable, and proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team. Who We Are Looking For The ideal candidate will be: Experienced in supporting children in a classroom setting, either through previous roles or voluntary work Enthusiastic, approachable, and motivated to make a difference Patient and understanding, with a genuine interest in child development Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to the needs of different pupils and classes Collaborative and able to work effectively with teachers, support staff, and parents Committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and promoting pupil wellbeing We welcome applications from both experienced Teaching Assistants and those seeking to begin their career in education.
