Job description
Are you a passionate and talented Music Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of musicians in an Outstanding school environment? A vibrant and high-performing secondary school in Bristol is seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to join its exceptional Performing Arts Faculty from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for an ambitious teacher ready to make a lasting impact. The Role You will teach Music across KS3–KS5, delivering creative, performance-based lessons that develop musical understanding, confidence, and collaboration. The school encourages innovation, providing teachers the freedom to use digital composition tools and live performance to bring lessons to life. You’ll also direct ensembles, choirs, and school concerts as part of the school’s rich extra-curricular programme. The School Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted , this large 11–18 comprehensive serves over 1,400 students and is part of a high-achieving multi-academy trust. The Performing Arts department is one of the school’s proudest assets, with over 75% of GCSE Music students achieving grades 7–9 last year. Facilities include a digital recording studio, soundproof practice rooms, and a 400-seat auditorium.
