Job description
Health and Social Care Teacher – Outstanding School – Surrey An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey seeks a dedicated and experienced Health and Social Care Teacher to join their vocational department. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering the chance to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed for careers in the caring professions, primarily at Key Stages 4 and 5. Responsibilities: The successful Health and Social Care Teacher will plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons, preparing students for BTEC and/or other relevant vocational qualifications. You will cover topics such as health and well-being, human lifespan development, and communication skills, fostering empathy and understanding of the sector. Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to the Health and Social Care curriculum are key responsibilities for this Health and Social Care Teacher role. Requirements: Applicants must be a qualified Health and Social Care Teacher (QTS) with a relevant degree (e.g., Health and Social Care, Nursing, Social Work). Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at the secondary level, particularly BTEC qualifications, is essential. Practical experience in a health or social care setting is desirable. Excellent communication and organisational skills are required. We are looking for a passionate Health and Social Care Teacher .
