Job description
A well-established and highly regarded independent school in Barnet is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their supportive and vibrant team. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to inspire and nurture pupils in a stimulating environment that values academic excellence and personal development. Start Date: January 26 Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Location: Barnet About the School The school provides a broad and engaging curriculum designed to foster curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. With small class sizes, excellent resources, and a committed staff team, pupils receive individualised support, enabling them to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities - Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across the Year 2 curriculum. - Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, tailoring support to meet individual needs. - Create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment. - Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enhance learning experiences. -Communicate effectively with parents and carers to support pupil learning and wellbeing. -Contribute to enrichment activities, events, and the wider life of the school. Requirements - Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) or equivalent. -Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 , ideally Year 2. - Strong knowledge of early literacy and numeracy, including phonics. - Excellent classroom management, organisation, and interpersonal skills. - Enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to nurturing a love of learning.
