Job description
A highly regarded independent school in York is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join its successful Science Department. This is an excellent opportunity to teach in an academically ambitious environment with small class sizes, excellent facilities, and a strong focus on high-quality teaching and learning. Science Teacher required Independent school based in York Well-resourced Science department with strong academic outcomes The role involves teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 Biology, Chemistry, or Physics depending on specialism and experience. You will deliver engaging and challenging lessons, support practical investigations, and contribute to enrichment activities that encourage curiosity and academic excellence. Experience and Qualifications QTS and a degree in a Science-related subject Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable) Strong subject knowledge and confidence delivering practical science High expectations for student engagement, progress, and behaviour Willingness to contribute to the wider life of an independent school School Information This York-based independent school is known for its strong academic standards, excellent pastoral care, and supportive leadership.
