Job description
PE Teacher required to work on a full-time position from January 2026 Good mixed school based in York PE Teacher to join a highly successful and well-supported department Our Client is looking for a PE Teacher to work within a dynamic mixed secondary school in York. The successful PE Teacher will teach KS3 & KS4 and play a key role in promoting health and fitness across the school community. School Information This popular 11–18 school serves around 1,250 students and enjoys a reputation for both academic and sporting success. In 2024, 92% of pupils achieved grades 9–4 in English and Maths, reflecting the school’s commitment to high achievement. The PE department has modern facilities, including a sports hall, gymnasium, fitness suite, and large outdoor playing fields. The school has a thriving extracurricular sports programme with teams competing regionally in athletics, football, and netball. Staff describe the environment as energetic, supportive, and inclusive, with excellent collaboration between departments. Leadership places strong value on staff wellbeing, offering regular CPD and wellbeing initiatives to promote a healthy work-life balance.
