Job description
The Headteacher of this highly successful and oversubscribed school is looking to appoint a new Maths Teacher to join their Maths department. Maths is an extremely popular and thriving subject in the school with excellent outcomes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maths teacher looking to progress in a highly skilled, supportive environment. This role would suit an aspirational Maths teacher looking for a role in middle leadership or a candidate who is looking to develop further. What the school is looking for: Location: Smethwick Start Date: September 2025 Position: Maths Teacher (ECT or experienced) Teaching Subjects: Maths to KS3 and KS4, and potentially KS5 An outstanding practitioner A passion for Maths The ability to support an already exceptional team The ability to secure excellent achievement across all key stages A commitment to fresh and exciting methods of delivering the curriculum A relentless drive to secure the best possible outcomes for students of all abilities Excellent communication and ICT skills The successful Maths Teacher will be ambitious and committed to the teaching of Maths. They will bring enthusiasm, dedication, and ideas to the department and a desire to promote success while instilling in their students a passion for the subject. School Information The school is an 11-18 Mixed Comprehensive serving Smethwick and the surrounding community. It is highly regarded in the local area and recognized as a friendly and welcoming school with high academic standards. The school has a very positive learning culture, and their Ofsted report (2016) graded the school as Outstanding. Experience and Qualifications Required for this Maths Teacher Position: Degree in Maths or a related subject QTS or PGCE Salary The salary for this Maths Teacher position will be paid to scale MPS/UPS.
