Job description
Drive vocational excellence in Health and Social Care at our outstanding Newham school as a passionate teacher! Our academically successful outstanding school in Newham is looking for a dedicated and results-oriented Health and Social Care Teacher to join our vocational studies department. You will play a key role in ensuring students achieve their full potential in their BTEC qualifications and are well-prepared for future careers. Key Responsibilities: Deliver well-structured and engaging Health and Social Care lessons at BTEC Level 2 and 3. Implement effective assessment and feedback strategies to track student progress. Set high expectations and support students in achieving their target grades. Utilize a range of teaching techniques to cater to different learning styles. Contribute to the development of resources and strategies for raising attainment in Health and Social Care. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent standards across the vocational curriculum. We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package. Degree in Health and Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, or a closely related field. Experience teaching Health and Social Care at BTEC Level 2 and 3 (or strong potential as an ECT with a strong academic background and relevant sector knowledge). A strong understanding of BTEC assessment criteria and effective teaching strategies for vocational learners. Excellent communication, organizational, and data analysis skills. A commitment to ensuring all students achieve their potential in Health and Social Care.
