Maths Teacher (ECT) – Ambitious and supportive secondary school – Barking An exciting opportunity exists for an Early Career Maths Teacher to join a vibrant and well-led maths department in Barking. This full-time, permanent role begins January 2026. Maths Teacher (ECT) required from January 2026 Ambitious and supportive secondary school in Barking Strong mentoring and induction for Early Career Teachers The successful candidate will teach mathematics across KS3 and KS4, using engaging, problem-solving approaches and mastery techniques. The department values collaboration and provides well-structured schemes of work. ECTs will benefit from expert mentors, weekly coaching, and reduced timetable in their first term. Experience and Qualifications QTS or PGCE with a mathematics specialism Experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Maths Confident with assessment-led instruction Legal right to work in the UK School Information This secondary school in Barking serves a diverse and motivated student community.
