Job description
Role Status & Location Role: Experienced Site Manager Sector: Highly Selective Independent School Location: Sheffield (North of England). Start Date: Permanent, full-time role commencing January 2026. The Opportunity & Contract Profile Join the operational leadership team of a prestigious independent school known for its extensive campus and high standards of upkeep. This critical role requires strategic planning, contractor management, and direct responsibility for the safe, efficient running of the entire site. Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (52 weeks per year). Working Hours: Standard 37 hours per week (flexibility required for events/emergencies). Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope Operational Leadership: Full management and supervision of the premises staff (caretakers, cleaning, maintenance). Compliance & Safety: Responsibility for all site security, H&S compliance, and managing all statutory inspections and record-keeping. Facilities Management: Oversight of routine maintenance schedules, contractor procurement, and management of the premises budget. Essential Requirements & Benefits Candidate Profile: Proven experience in facilities management, strong knowledge of building systems, and relevant H&S qualifications. Compensation: Highly competitive salary, dependent on experience and qualifications (ranging from £38,000 – £45,000+). Support: Generous pension scheme and professional development funding.
