Job description
Location: Islington, North London Job Type: Daily Supply / Long-Term / Temp-to-Perm / Permanent Pay: Competitive daily rates, dependent on experience Employer: Leading Education Recruitment Agency A leading education recruitment agency is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work across a range of mainstream and specialist SEN schools in Islington . This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a meaningful difference in their educational journey. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties . You may work on a 1:1 basis or with small groups , helping pupils access the curriculum, manage emotions, and develop social and academic skills. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs), behaviour strategies, and tailored learning approaches. The role requires patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations.
