Job description
A well-regarded secondary school in High Wycombe is seeking a creative and committed Art Teacher to join their department. This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive school where creativity is encouraged and students are motivated to engage with visual arts. The Opportunity You will deliver Art across KS3 and KS4, supporting students to develop technical skill, creative confidence, and personal expression. The role focuses on high-quality teaching, thoughtful assessment, and creating an environment where students feel confident experimenting with ideas, materials, and techniques. Your responsibilities will include: Teaching a broad and engaging Art curriculum Planning structured yet creative lessons Assessing and moderating coursework in line with exam requirements Encouraging originality, experimentation, and artistic confidence Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, presentation, and effort Contributing to departmental planning and enrichment activities The School Environment The school offers a calm, positive learning environment with clear behaviour systems and strong pastoral support. The Art department is well resourced, with dedicated studio space and supportive leadership that values creativity alongside academic achievement. Staff work collaboratively and are given autonomy to teach with confidence.
