Job description
Finance Officer required January 2026 Independent co-educational school based in Manchester Finance Officer to support financial operations and school-wide budgeting systems Our Client is seeking a Finance Officer to support the financial management, budgeting and operational systems of a respected independent school. Duties include processing fee billing, managing financial records, supporting contract administration, liaising with suppliers, maintaining financial reporting and supporting strategic financial planning alongside senior leadership. School Information This independent 11–18 school educates approximately 750 pupils and operates within a well-resourced, highly structured financial framework. The school is known for its strong long-term financial management, excellent facilities and highly stable staffing structure, with clear governance and well-established financial procedures in place. Staff describe the culture as calm, professional and strategically driven. Leadership provides a high level of trust and responsibility within the finance team, alongside fully funded training and long-term career progression routes within independent school finance. The environment supports both detailed operational work and longer-term financial planning.
