Job description
A well-regarded 11–18 secondary school in Worcestershire is seeking a capable and trustworthy School Finance Officer to join its administration team from January 2026 . This is a full-time, permanent role offering responsibility, stability and the opportunity to play a vital part in the smooth financial running of a busy school environment. This position would suit someone with experience in finance, accounts or budgeting who enjoys working in a structured setting and values accuracy, organisation and collaboration. The Role As School Finance Officer, you will oversee day-to-day financial processes, ensuring that school budgets are managed efficiently and transparently. Working closely with senior leaders and the wider admin team, you’ll support both operational and strategic financial planning. Key responsibilities include: Processing purchase orders, invoices and reconciliations Monitoring departmental budgets and expenditure Supporting budget forecasting and financial reporting Managing payments, income and supplier accounts Ensuring compliance with financial procedures and audit requirements You’ll play a key role in helping the school use its resources effectively to support teaching, learning and student wellbeing.
