Job description
Our client is delighted to be seeking a dedicated and inspiring English Teacher to join a small, well-established independent school in Gloucester, known for its nurturing ethos, strong academic foundations, and close-knit community. Full-time English Teacher required from January 2026 Private School in Gloucester Opportunity to teach motivated pupils in a supportive, character-focused environment This is a wonderful opportunity for an English Teacher to become part of a warm, collaborative English Department within a charming private school where pupils are known individually, learning is purposeful, and academic ambition is balanced with care and encouragement. Class sizes are small, allowing for thoughtful discussion, personalised feedback, and a genuine love of literature and language to flourish. Experience and Qualifications Qualified English Teacher with strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language Ability to teach across KS3–KS5 (A Level experience welcomed but not essential) A reflective, caring practitioner who values high academic standards alongside pupil wellbeing Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teaching and learning Eligibility to work in the UK School Information This private school in Gloucester is proud of its traditional values, gentle discipline, and strong sense of community.
