Job description
A well-respected secondary school in Bristol is seeking a committed and efficient School Business Manager to oversee finance, HR, site operations and administration from January 2026 . Working alongside the SLT, the School Business Manager will support strategic planning and ensure compliance across operational areas. A full induction and handover will take place before January 2026. • School Business Manager required for permanent full-time role • Exciting opportunity to join a busy secondary school in Bristol • Joining a friendly, collaborative operations and finance team The School Business Manager will manage the school budget, monitor expenditure, coordinate HR and payroll processes, and oversee health & safety and premises. We are looking for a professional with strong finance expertise, excellent communication and the ability to lead support staff effectively. School information • Large secondary school with excellent resources and engaged students • Forward-thinking SLT with a clear vision • CPD pathways available for experienced and aspiring leaders Experience & qualifications – Strong track record in business or operations management – Confidence in budget management and financial reporting – Knowledge of HR, compliance, procurement and premises management – Strong IT skills, including Excel and finance systems – Available January 2026 and able to travel to Bristol Application Send a CV as soon as possible to be considered for this School Business Manager post.
