Job description
A respected Catholic School in Westminster seeks a knowledgeable Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry for a part-time, permanent position. We aim to inspire a love of scientific inquiry within a faith-based learning environment. About Our Learning Community: Our school provides a supportive and values-driven environment rooted in Catholic principles. The Science department has well-equipped laboratories and a commitment to providing students with a strong scientific foundation. About the Role: Deliver engaging and informative Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on Chemistry. Develop and implement stimulating lesson plans that incorporate practical investigations and real-world applications of chemistry. Assess student progress through lab reports and assessments, providing constructive feedback. Contribute to the development of the science curriculum within the context of the school's ethos. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science with a strong background and specialism in Chemistry. A good understanding of the secondary science curriculum and effective teaching strategies for Chemistry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong practical skills and experience in laboratory work. A commitment to the school's Catholic ethos and values.
