The Opportunity & School Profile This busy secondary academy seeks a dynamic English ECT to join its successful Humanities faculty. The school requires a teacher capable of inspiring a love for reading and developing strong communication skills from Key Stage 3 upwards. This environment offers a structured curriculum and clear routines, ensuring a robust start to an ECT's career. Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope Narrative Navigator: Instructing English Language and Literature across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) only. Grammar Guardian: Driving high attainment by developing foundational comprehension and sophisticated essay writing skills. Debate Coach: Contributing to extracurricular debating or literacy clubs. Compensation & Benefits Essential Requirements: Hold or be soon to obtain QTS. Relevant Degree in English. Salary: Excellent salary paid on the national Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS). Support: Robust, structured ECT induction program and supportive leadership.
