This full-time, permanent position, with an ASAP start, offers a fantastic opportunity to inspire students to become critical thinkers and articulate communicators. About the Role: As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will foster a love for literature and language, encouraging students to develop their analytical and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality English lessons that are tailored to the needs of individual students, ensuring all students are engaged and challenged. Create a stimulating and interactive learning environment that promotes active participation, collaboration, and a love of learning. Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student understanding and engagement with literary texts and language concepts. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the English curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's high standards. Contribute to the school's extracurricular English activities, such as book clubs, debating societies, and creative writing workshops. Ideal Candidate: A passion for English literature and language, with a strong understanding of literary analysis and creative writing. A relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and a strong academic background in English. Proven experience teaching English at secondary level, ideally within an Outstanding Ofsted-rated school. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop their critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
