Responsibilities Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across KS3 and KS4. Guide students through GCSE History coursework and exam preparation. Incorporate diverse historical perspectives and source analysis into lessons. Work alongside the department to enhance the History curriculum with contemporary research. Support extracurricular activities such as historical debates, museum visits, and research projects. Develop and manage historical research projects. Organize and lead historical site visits. Maintain and manage History department resources and equipment. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback. Contribute to the development and implementation of History department policies and procedures. Qualifications and Experience Degree in History or a related field. PGCE or QTS. Experience teaching History up to KS4. Ability to participate in school historical events and activities. Strong commitment to fostering historical understanding and critical thinking.
