Job description
A highly regarded independent school in Bristol is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Admissions to lead and develop its admissions function. This is a senior leadership-facing role with responsibility for pupil recruitment, conversion, and the overall admissions journey, playing a key part in the school’s long-term growth and reputation. The Role You will have end-to-end responsibility for the admissions process, ensuring a professional, welcoming, and well-managed experience for prospective families from first enquiry through to enrolment. Working closely with the Head, senior leadership team, and marketing colleagues, you will shape admissions strategy while maintaining strong operational delivery. Key responsibilities include: Leading and managing the admissions process across all entry points Developing and implementing admissions and pupil recruitment strategy Managing enquiries, visits, assessments, offers, and enrolments Acting as a key ambassador for the school with prospective families Planning and delivering open days, tours, and admissions events Monitoring data, conversion rates, and pipeline reporting Working closely with marketing on outreach, messaging, and positioning Managing admissions systems, records, and compliance Line-managing admissions staff where applicable The School Environment This independent school in Bristol is known for its strong academic reputation, excellent pastoral care, and professional working culture.
