Job description
Science Technician Secondary School in Southampton Full-Time/Permanent Easter or September Start! Competitive Salary Opportunity for progression! Your Impact You will help create a safe and stimulating environment where students can explore scientific concepts through hands-on experimentation. Core Duties Prepare practical resources across Biology, Chemistry and Physics Assemble, test and dismantle laboratory apparatus Prepare solutions and experimental materials Maintain organised and fully stocked prep rooms Monitor chemical inventory and update records Ensure COSHH compliance and safe chemical storage Conduct regular laboratory safety checks Support teachers in delivering practical lessons Assist with practical assessments and examination setups Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organisation Liaise with suppliers and manage departmental orders About You Practical and hands-on in approach Strong organisational and administrative skills Knowledgeable in laboratory health and safety Able to work independently and as part of a team Calm and efficient under pressure Committed to safeguarding and student wellbeing About the School in Southampton The school in Southampton is committed to high standards, innovation and inclusive education.
