Art Teacher (KS3-4) - Merton Secondary School - Unleash Your Creative Potential! Calling all talented and inspiring Art Teachers! Do you have a passion for art and the ability to nurture creativity in young people? is a thriving secondary school in Merton, committed to providing a high-quality art education that develops students' artistic talents, visual literacy, and appreciation for the arts. About the Art Teacher Role: We are seeking an exceptional Art Teacher to join our dedicated Art department. The successful Art Teacher will have the opportunity to teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students with engaging lessons and a love for visual expression. What you'll do as an Art Teacher: Deliver engaging and innovative Art lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and artistic abilities. Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills. Teach a variety of Art techniques and media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art. Encourage students to engage with Art history and contemporary art practices. Organise and participate in school exhibitions and art events. Assess and monitor student progress in Art, providing constructive feedback and support. Contribute to the development of the Art curriculum and departmental resources. Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Art teaching. What you'll need to be a successful Art Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A degree in Art , Fine Art, or a related field. Experience teaching Art at the secondary level. A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Art . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for Art and a commitment to inspiring students.
