Job description
IT Support Officer – Outstanding Secondary School, Southwark Start Date: As soon as possible Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale School information: This is a 11 to 18 well-established, Outstanding Ofsted Rated Secondary School in Southwark with a strong commitment to high standards, digital innovation, student wellbeing and continuous improvement. The school serves a diverse and vibrant community and is widely recognised for its forward-thinking approach to teaching and learning, underpinned by excellent use of technology. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum that supports academic achievement alongside personal development, with digital literacy embedded across subjects. IT Support Team: The IT Support team plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the school’s digital infrastructure. The team supports staff and students with hardware, software, and network systems, helping to create an efficient and reliable learning environment. The IT Support Officer works closely with teaching staff, senior leaders and external providers to maintain and develop the school’s IT provision. Requirements • Previous experience in an IT support or technical support role, ideally within an educational setting • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, hardware troubleshooting and basic networking • Experience supporting classroom technology, including interactive whiteboards and laptops • Ability to respond efficiently to technical issues and prioritise workloads • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach • Commitment to safeguarding, data protection and professional standards Application To apply, please send your CV as soon as possible.
